How does the onboarding process work?

Sign-up fee required for all new units

We charge a sign-up fee equivalent to the price of your first cleaning. The fee covers the additional time we will spend deep cleaning your unit, as we require each new unit to go through a deep clean during the first service. To confirm our partnership, the sign-up fee has to be paid at least 2 weeks before the first cleaning if possible.

Tell us everything we need to know about your unit

After we confirm the date of your first service, we will need to collect some info about your unit; so our cleaners will know where everything is when they get there. You’ll be able to enter this info for your unit(s) in this form.

 

Do you do back-to-back services?

We only provide back-to-back services to our PREMIUM customers (BASIC plans can do it for $50 extra per service).

We require a 10am check-out and a 4pm check-in for any back-to-back service. Late check-outs and early check-ins are not allowed for back-to-back services and will either; incur up to an extra $100 fee, or delay the check-in time.

How does it work if a guest is still in the unit when the cleaners arrive?

After a 15min grace period; we will charge a prorated fee ($90/hr) for the time our cleaners have to wait to access the unit. If our cleaners are not able to access and have to leave to clean another unit; we will charge a $100 flat-fee.

We recommend you include this $100 late checkout fee in your terms & communication with the guest so you can be covered.

If your guests ask for late checkouts or early check-ins; please note that they are not allowed for back-to-back services. We require a 10am check-out and a 4pm check-in for any back-to-back service.

What type of supplies are included in the PREMIUM plans?

Included in all PREMIUM plans

Bed sheets: ‘Pizuna Linen’, fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillow cases, white, 400 thread-count, medium-heavy, 100% Long Staple Cotton, made from specially compacted yarns with a sateen weave.

The Long Staple Cotton Soft Sateen Sheets are Sweat Wicking and Temperature Balancing to keep you cool during summer and warm during winters.

These Oeko tex sheets are tested for harmful substances and certified AZO FREE, making it soothing for even the most sensitive skin.

Bath Towels: ‘American Soft Linen’, white, plush, 100% cotton.

These towels contain long loop-pile height which makes them extra fluffy and extremely absorbent.

Our towels are made from cotton grown in the Aegean Region of Turkey’s best quality cotton. These towels will give your body a delicate touch as if you were in a luxurious spa!

Do you provide the linen or should we purchase it?

BASIC plan

We do not provide any linen nor supplies with the Basic plan. You need to provide all supplies and linen and have spare sets of everything available for our cleaners before the cleaning starts.

With the Basic plan, you are saving a little money, but you are responsible for stocking up supplies and replenishing them before they get low. (Our cleaners won’t track your inventory nor send you notifications if anything is low. If supplies aren’t available, our cleaners will pick from their own supplies and we will charge you a $30 extra fee, or $60 if we have to go shopping for you.)

PREMIUM plan

Bed sheets for each bed: ‘Pizuna Linen’, fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillow cases (1 for twin beds), white, crisp 400 thread-count, 100% cotton. (Pullout beds will be serviced & charged only upon request)

Bath Towels: ‘American Soft Linen’, white, plush, 100% cotton. 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 wash cloths per bed. (same for pullout beds. 1 set only for twin beds)

With the PREMIUM plan, you’ll have to provide bed quilts & pillow shams, beach towels, bathroom floor mats, and kitchen towels. You also need to have at least one spare set of everything.

We recommend that you place your own sheet sets as spares in each bedroom closet, as well as a set of your own backup bath towels in the bathroom cabinets. To avoid confusion with our white linen, it is better if your sets are colored fabrics. It is also a good idea to store them in closed bags or boxes that we can seal to be sure they are still clean.

With PREMIUM PLUS+ you don’t need to provide anything! We take care of providing everything you need! On-site laundry is not necessary anymore, but we can still run 1 load per bed if you have other linen or special bedding.

Can you change light bulbs or batteries?

Because of liabilities, training, and quality; our cleaners are only focusing on cleaning.  For maintenance, we recommend you get in touch with a professional handyman service. Our preferred partner on Island is www.maui-handyman.com

 

Can you use a particular cleaning product?

As part of our Company’s founding values; we pledge to be as Eco-friendly as possible.

Since our founding, we researched different products and selected only the best non-toxic products to clean just about any surface in your home, and keep our customers families and pets as healthy as possible, as well as our staff.

If you’d like us to use a different product; please let us know, and we will evaluate it on a case-by-case basis.

What are your protocols to prevent the spread of viruses?

To prevent risks both for our staff and our customers; all our cleanings are contactless since 2020. Please make sure no one and no pet is present in the unit while we clean, or request an exemption from our Manager.

Our employees go through a daily health & temperature check, and are provided with paid sick leave and free testing in case of any doubt or symptoms.

Our Manager graduated from the UH Maui as a COVID BioSafety Manager, and we are constantly updating our processes and work-flows to respond to rapidly evolving Government guidelines.

Are your cleaners vaccinated?

Although we totally understand your desire for safety, especially after all we’ve been through; we are still not legally allowed to collect nor reveal our employees’ medical information.

That being said, please rest assured that we are always putting safety first in all our processes and operations.

How does it work if a guest is (or was) positive to a virus?

We kindly ask that you inform us about it before the cleaning, so our cleaners can take extra precaution and grab additional PPE. We are equipped with full-body suits and respirators, and we can perform cleaning and disinfection tasks even when the unit is occupied; as our EPA certified disinfectant against corona and rhinoviruses is non-toxic and even certified food-safe.

Will you report if something is broken or not working ?

When we enter each unit, we perform a quick inspection, and we will text you pictures immediately if anything is damaged or heavily soiled.

Do we need to sign a long-term contract?

We believe in the quality of our services and we are sure you will love them! We rather leave you free to move at anytime. Just give us a 14days notice and return our supplies & linen promptly, and we won’t charge any cancellation fees.

Why is the price more expensive than my previous cleaning lady?

Our packages cost a bit more because we do more detail-oriented work than other cleaners, but also because it saves you a lot of time, and quite a lot of money that you don’t need to spend anymore:

1) We take the time to shop and stock up all your supplies with our PREMIUM plans. It’s all on us!

2) We provide the Linen and towels (and more with PREMIUM PLUS+), so you don’t need to buy linen anymore, as we are taking care of the original purchase and also replacing worn out sets at no extra cost to you. Yes that’s right!

3) We always plan more workers for last-minute work, so you get the peace of mind of knowing your cleaners are going to show up and have your unit ready on time for check-in. We remove some intense stress and replace it with peace of mind and a friendly customer service!

4) There’s another reason why some other cleaners are a lot cheaper, so we also want our customers to be aware of it:

Sadly a lot of people in the cleaning industry are doing work under the table, and the rates offered are misleading and should not be considered as a standard, because they don’t cover taxes, social security, worker compensation, temporary disability insurance, liability insurance, bonding, guarantee of quality and reliability, or even the time cleaners spend driving from place to place, which is quite a lot. All theses little savings can potentially bring up a whole lot of trouble for both the cleaners and the clients, and that’s the reason why we think that business done this way isn’t sustainable.

At Precision, we also pay our seasoned employees more than double the minimum wage, because;

1) They are working very hard and have to remember many different protocols and work in many different locations (and their driving time is paid).

2) They are taking huge risks and working on the front-lines, having to constantly interact with potentially contaminated linen and surfaces.

3) Life is expensive on Maui, and who can afford to feed their family and have a roof over their head with a minimum wage?

How does it work if a guest gets really messy?

First of all, don’t worry too much; because it very rarely happens. If anything is heavily soiled or damaged; our cleaners will text you pictures immediately. If our linen or supplies are damaged or missing, we will charge your credit card on file for the cost of replacing these items, and you can then charge the guest for it through your OTA booking platform.

What if there is a last-minute change or cancellation?

You can book or cancel a cleaning up to 48hrs in advance with our PREMIUM plans (Basic plan: 7days in advance).

If a booking or cancellation happens after that deadline; we will almost always be able to honor it but we will charge a $100 last-minute fee.

How does it work if you can't run all the laundry?

We will run one load of on-site laundry per bed serviced, but only for as long as we are cleaning the unit. We can’t have our cleaners stay and wait for laundry to finish up when the cleaning is already done.

If you live on Island, you can potentially empty the last load from the dryer yourself. But if you aren’t around; we will haul the rest of the laundry, process it off-site, and return it for the next cleaning. This is why it is crucial you have enough spare sets of everything so we can have the unit ready for the guest even if all the Laundry isn’t done on time.

Loads that include your linen and have to be processed off-site will be charged extra at $30 per 13gal garbage bag.

Can you shop for me to get coffee or other supplies not included in your plans?

Yes we can shop for you at any Central Maui location and deliver to your unit. The extra charge for that is $60 per request.

Can I start with a plan and maybe upgrade later?

Yes you can! Just give us 14days advance notice.

Can you handle property management tasks? (guest messaging, optimizing daily rates to maximize profit, and more)

We will start offering these services soon. Please tell our manager if you’d like to be part of the beta testing.

Can you be my on-Island contact?

Can you do window, carpet, upholstery, or ventilation cleaning?

We do interior and exterior windows that are safely accessible with a stepstool (up to 9ft). We wash the windows & screens as part of the deep-clean service. All new units have to get a deep-clean on the first service, and after that we require a deep-clean service every 2-3 months.

We do NOT provide; carpet cleaning or duct/AC/vent cleaning at this time

Do you provide Handyman or Landscaping services?

We do not provide handyman nor landscaping services at this time. We highly recommend our partner www.maui-handyman.com for all these tasks.

This is the traditional turnover, except ours is one of the most reliable & detail-oriented on Maui.

Although it’s an awesome service, it does have major limitations; we can only run on-site laundry until we’re done cleaning, and the supplies & linen quality are fully depending on your own inventory & laundry installation.

You have the option to upgrade your vacation rental with our PREMIUM plans, including hotel-grade bed linen & bath towels, with off-site laundry & sanitizing, and many more features that will make your guests feel safer & happier!
